Extra-Curriculars

Girls on the Run is back at PRM fall 2019 for grades 3-5! Practices are after school on Tuesday and Thursday 2:30 to 3:45pm, from September 9th to November 16th. 5k race is Saturday, November 16th at 10am at Paul Brown Stadium.   Online registration starts August 19th. Go to: www.gotrcincinnati.org for more information and registration.

The fee for the GOTR program is $165, which represents the cost for each girl to participate. This fee covers 20 uplifting lessons, new running shoes, a GOTR t-shirt, healthy snacks at each lesson, 5K registration, finisher’s medal, and more!

If you cannot afford the $165 fee and need financial assistance, we have already adjusted our program fee according to a sliding scale of annual family (total household) income, which allows our scholarship dollars to reach as many girls as possible.

Spanish with Cincinnati Spanish Academy –

Hola! Pleasant Ridge Montessori After-School Spanish Enrichment Program taught by Cincinnati Spanish Academy (CSA) is back for the 2016-2017 school year. Students grades K-6 are invited to participate.

This program promotes the acquisition of the language in small groups (max 14 per class). Students are immersed in the language so that they acquire the language similar to their first language. The focus is on understanding the spoken language, first attempts at speaking, and fun activities in grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure. As this is an enrichment program there is no “official” homework or tests.

Foreign language skills are truly a passport to the world, helping students to develop skills for their future. Learning a language also enhances test scores, improves self-esteem, and exposes learners to different cultures. On top of that, learning Spanish is FUN!

Children taking Spanish are grouped by age and experience depending on enrollment.
