Macy’s Art Sampler

The Macy’s Art Sampler returns for its 30th year! This annual festival, brought to you by ArtsWave and generously sponsored by Macy’s, presents a wide range of arts activities throughout the region on February 18 and 19, 2017.

Participate in FREE art, dance and music activities for all ages at Kennedy Heights Arts Center’s Lindner Annex on Saturday, February 18.

Note that all Sampler events will be held in our Annex at the corner of Montgomery Road and Kennedy Avenue. Look for the mural!

The Dance & Dash Booth – 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Hop in the booth and record your jams, freestyle music and/or learn a pre-choreographed dance by MamLuft & Co. Dance.

The Power of Percussion – 10:15 am – 11:00 am
In this hands-on workshop, musician Liz Wu will guide you to transform ordinary household objects into extraordinary objects of percussion and then lead the group in a lively rhythmic music making experience. All ages.

Nouveau Chamber Players – 12:00 pm – 12:30 pm
Mix some musical talent with a little moxie and a lot of Mozart and what do you get? The Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra’s highly acclaimed Nouveau Chamber Players, a chamber music group comprised of African-American middle and high school string students.

Bacchanal Steel Band – 12:45 pm – 1:15 pm
Learn how steel drums were invented and experience a musical performance of calypso, pop, and classical music.
