The sound of joy and music filled the halls of PRM on Thursday night December 14th at PRM’s 2018 Winterfest! Coffee Cup class served hot cider as nervous students and proud parents walked in the door. The Scholastic book fair gave plenty of gift ideas as you walked down the hall. From 5-6pm in the art room students made colorful works of art with holiday scenes! Strings showed how hard they have been working with a full half hour performance of wonderful holiday music. The 2nd and 3rd grade music club packed the cafeteria with joyful performances and eager faces. Webby Dance performed with great pizazz lifting everyone’s spirit in the gym. The 4th-5th-6th grade music club surprised everyone with an amazing performance of Carol of the Bells on xylophones. The amount of work and skill really showed through with their performance including one of Wintersong. The whole crowd could not help but be filled with joy and the season’s good tidings when a dancing energetic snowman came out to dance as they sang Walking in a Winter Wonderland. It is a true wonderland to see the students learn and grow from dedicated and caring teachers. We want to give a huge thank you to our strings teacher, Carolyn Quinn, Webby Dance instructor, Courtney Hemsath, PRM’s music instructor, Maria Kitsinis, Coffee Cup instructor, Ruth Anne Wolfe and all those who volunteered to make the night possible!
