A belated Happy New Year from the parent leadership groups at PRM. We hope in 2025 that you are settling in to routines, whether they be new ones or just a renewed focus on old ones.
More champions are needed in the new year! If you are interested in a specific event happening in 2025, please reach out to [email protected] – we would like to be able to support events such as the book fair, some type of a spring dance as well as Staff Appreciation Week – but in order for these to take place, they need champions.
From 6:30pm-7:00pm we will have reports from the principal, Ms. Simpson, as well as ILT, LSDMC, Foundation and Boosters. Then at 7:00pm, we will have a presentation from PRM Reading Specialist, Ms. Sarah Kleymeyer, covering “What is the Science of Reading?” and “How our brains learn to read” plus how parents can utilize this to best support learning at home. Sarah will include hands-on, real-word strategies for parents of all learners, including those with learning disabilities and dyslexia, as well as advanced readers. This is going to be a very informative evening with helpful resources – we really hope to see you there.
PRM Boosters would also like to remind you that registration for spring sports starts on Friday. Starting at noon, on January 31st, you will be able to register for baseball, soccer, track, and volleyball – including tee-ball, Little Roadrunners soccer and a volleyball clinic. Relevant information, including registration links, will be posted on the PRM website at www.prmrocks.org/athletics. All questions should be directed to [email protected].
Lastly, if one of your new year’s resolutions is to stay connected you are in luck… You can subscribe to the PRM events calendar on your device by clicking the green “subscribe” button – or view the kept up-to-date calendar available at www.prmrocks.org/calendar
