PRM Families,

Please use the link below if you are interested in a PRM based distance learning option.  Please do not fill out this form if you are planning to send your child to school during blended learning.  We are collecting this information to determine if there are enough families interested for us to try to pursue this option.

Please Read the Following Message from Superintendent Laura Mitchell:

Dear Cincinnati Public Schools Parents and Guardians,

Tonight, Cincinnati Public Schools decided that most of our schools will begin phasing into blended learning, which includes in-person instruction, on Monday, October 12.

We will utilize the following timeline to transition students to the blended learning model:

The Week of October 12

  • Preschool and specialized classrooms return* — Monday distance, Tuesday-Friday in person
  • Grades K–2; Montessori 3rd Grade* — Monday distance, A group in-person Tuesday/Wednesday, B group in-person Thursday/Friday
  • Grades 7–8 — Monday distance, A group in-person Tuesday/Wednesday, B group in-person Thursday/Friday

The Week of October 19

  • Grades 3–6 — Monday distance, A group in-person Tuesday/Wednesday, B group in-person Thursday/Friday
  • Grades 9–12 — Monday distance, A group in-person Tuesday/Wednesday, B group in-person Thursday/Friday

*Note these are changes to the original phase-in schedule.

We are excited to welcome students back to our buildings. We also understand that some families may prefer continuing in a distance model from their current school. Schools will be sending parents/guardians commitment forms and we ask parents who are interested in this option to commit by Friday, October 9.

Please note that this option will require a minimum level of participation by families (8,750 students), and may result in a change in teachers. Students who sign up for this option while we are making a final determination on feasibility will attend Google Meet sessions with their current class on Monday and access Schoology lessons Tuesday through Friday. Access our distance learning site with additional resources

In addition, enrollment remains open at Cincinnati Digital Academy.

Walnut Hills High School will remain in five days per week distance learning due to safety concerns associated with high enrollment and small classroom sizes. Preschool students and students in specialized classrooms will be in distance learning on Mondays and in-person Tuesday through Friday.

Please visit our FAQ page for more information about our 1/2/2 blended learning model.

Going forward, CPS will use additional flexibility and allow for either blended or distance learning when Hamilton County is in red status according to the State of Ohio Public Health Advisory System. This will allow for additional analysis of community health data to determine the safety risk associated with in-person learning.

We appreciate your flexibility and agility.

Backpacks on. Laptops open. Futures bright!

Sincerely,

Laura Mitchell Superintendent
